Case Study 3
A mid-sized IT services firm engaged us to work with the teams to identify and address the challenges in the middle level leadership. The engagement was structured as monthly interactions during which various initiatives were undertaken.
Discovery
The discovery started with a formal 360-degree appraisal providing personal feedback to each individual leader
and providing summary feedback to the organization on the strengths and gaps.
We also did a Belbin analysis to find out which roles in the organization needed development.
Critical Project Reviews
During the monthly interactions we also conducted critical project reviews for their key projects. The first step was a review of documentation – Contract, SoW, project status reports, project metrics – followed by a discussion with the team. These reviews helped in identifying key risks in these projects as well as to illustrate an effective project review methodology appropriate for the Delivery Manager level. These reviews helped many projects to identify significant risks early in the cycle leading to improved customer confidence.
