Yushu Methodology

Our engagements resemble typical interventions by a medical doctor. The doctor typically starts with the description of the issue or problem. The diagnosis process is done through a physical examination and some relevant tests leading to a prescribed solution.

The starting point of our typical engagement is a high-level statement of the challenge or the opportunity for improvement as described by the CxOs/business leaders. We then work through the solutions after interviews with the CxOs and other stake holders.

Success Factors

1. Effective separation of perceived problems from problems with real impact on performance

2. Identifying the root causes
Prioritizing a manageable number of actions that have the most impact

3. Involving people across the hierarchy in the discovery to ensure that ground level realities are also captured to involve people in the solutioning process to ensure buy in.
